HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, degree in Design and Contemporary Art (2016–2020)

Polina Gisich is a multidisciplinary artist from Moscow. Works with graphics, street art, sculpture, photography and performance. She explores the effect of pareidolia and Rorschach test images: she invites the viewer to look for anthropomorphic images in contrasting black and white abstractions, and to interpret the poses of performers in performances. Polina suggests looking at the world naively, like a child. To play with reality. To look for animals in the clouds, to search for unusual pebbles underfoot. From the chaos of line, the artist extracts the objects she sees, using an analytical approach in her graphic works. A focus on small details and making up stories about objects can be found in her photographs. They are artefacts from everyday life, funny and sad at the same time, beautiful yet ugly.

Полина Гисич — мультидисциплинарная художница из Москвы. Работает с графикой, стрит-артом, скульптурой, фотографией и перформансом. Исследует эффект парейдолии и изображения теста Роршаха: предлагает зрителю искать в контрастных черно-белых абстракциях антропоморфные образы, а в перформансах
— интерпретировать позы перформеров. Полина предлагает взглянуть на мир наивно, как ребенок. Поиграть с реальностью. В облаках искать животных, выискивать необычные камешки под ногами. Из хаоса линии художница вычленяет увиденные объекты, используя аналитический подход в своих графических работах. Фокус на мелкие детали и придумывание историй предметам можно найти в ее фотографиях. Это артефакты из повседневной жизни, смешные и грустные одновременно, красивые, но при этом уродливые.
